I Have My Parents to Thank for My Love of Hotels

When I was 10 years old, my parents pulled my sister and me out of school for nearly three months to travel and campervan around Europe.

On the way home, we stopped in Bangkok and stayed in a luxury hotel. Put a 10-year-old in her own room with minibar snacks, room service and a resort pool? I was sold. That (and Disneyland!) was the moment I fell in love with experience-led brands.

A Career Built on Places and People

Over the past 20+ years, I've held VP Brand Management and VP Marketing roles with global groups like InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) and Anantara Hotels & Resorts, and senior marketing leadership roles with brands like Bicester Village Collection. I've lived and worked across 7 countries building brands, developing teams, and creating distinctive customer experiences.

What I've learned? The best brand experiences are built WITH the teams who deliver them every day.

Why I Do This Work

I genuinely love helping people realise they have far more capability than they thought — that’s why I started Brand Jourmey. Watching teams gain confidence, get passionate about their brand, and take ownership of creating something different — that's what drives me.

Building a brand is about balancing creativity, customer focus, and commercial performance. And your teams know your customers better than anyone else — so why wouldn't we build the brand with them?

My passion for people development runs deep. I have qualifications in both Marketing and Education, and completed my Doctor of Business Administration with dissertation research on "Marketing Skills for the Next Generation of Hospitality Marketing Leaders."
